That`s right, with Critters and Sea Shell Flowers!
Were you there to see it ?
Well here it is, just rounding the corner in all its glory in the July 4th Sanibel Parade.

A lot of time, effort and creative shell art was put into this project and it paid off, not only for those who viewed it along the parade route but in the eyes of the judges awarded, “Best Original Design and Best Non-Profit Organization Float”!

You now have a little less than 365 days to see next year’s entry and wave to the proud members of the Sanibel Shell Crafters Group or better yet stop in on a Monday and say hello.

XXXVI update no. 5 “The Final Chapter”

The Bailey`s-Matthews National Shell Museum Summer Sailor's Valentine Community Project kicked off on Tuesday, July 15th.
Pictured here, shell artist Pam Boynton discussing the creative process, and the layout which she created representing the style of the early 1800`s.

They are now looking for your help in this historic event with your own personal touch, choosing and placing shells in this age old tradition at no cost beyond admission, just your artistic talent!
As they say on the Price is Right, “Come on Down”, to The Bailey`s-Matthews National Shell Museum (http://www.shellmuseum.org/)  and take part in Sailor Valentine History, but don`t wait too long, as you can see the spaces are filling up fast.
