Some of you may already know about the poem “What Do You Do With
Sea Shells”
by Lola B. Minard. Reading it for the first time the
words stuck in my mind and they were NOT about to leave until I did something
about them, so I did.
I
created the scene the words painted in a shadow box pictured here and it
took first place in the Sanibel Show and the poem also ended up on the Martha
Stewart Show.
I am grateful for all of you who have commented on it and to
those of you who have asked what I intend to do with the original creation, at
this point I will have it on display at the Philly Show this coming October. Also
many of you have asked about prints and I have had some made up in the form of
blank note cards available at http://www.etsy.com/?gclid=CP-Q1OT3868CFQLktgodLjuPWA
